A power system is a network of generators, transformers, transmission lines, and electrical equipment (loads). It includes all equipment that is electrically or mechanically connected to the network.
These interconnection elements in the power system can be divided into two categories: one is a power element and the other is a control element. Control elements are used to change the system's operating conditions, such as the synchronous generator's touch adjuster, governor, and relays.
