Global LED manufacturer Seoul Semiconductor has released the Acrich2 LED module for intelligent LED lighting systems, which is the result of a combination of LED and IT cutting-edge technologies.

The so-called intelligent lighting system refers to a system that does not need to manually control the brightness adjustment, but can be remotely controlled by a smart phone through WIFI, 3G and LTE communication networks. If the Acrich2 module is used for intelligent building and house management, it is possible to control the lighting system from the cell or floor. And its new function allows the lighting controller to receive signals through the light sensor and motion control sensors, which can be applied to intelligent lighting in parking lots and plantation cultivation systems.

In order to control the on/off and brightness of the illumination, conventional DC LED illumination systems require an additional brightness adjustment switch and an AC to DC converter. The Acrich2 released by Seoul Semiconductor can receive signals from the brightness adjustment switch without any converter, making the design of the LED lighting system a breeze.

As a result, Acrich2 brings a number of advantages to LED lighting systems that extend system life, reduce cost by 10%, and improve reliability by reducing the number of unnecessary components that lead to shortened life and various types of problems.
