China's first Win8 application: QQ for Win8 has entered the store

With the preview of Windows 8 customer preview, Tencent has announced that QQ for Windows 8 will be unveiled along with the Win8 customer preview release, which will be released on February 29.

The story behind Tencent’s disclosure of Win8QQ today: Microsoft released the Windows Developer Preview (Win8 developer preview version) at the September 2011 Build-Tenth Conference. Tencent then started to plan and develop Win8QQ. In February 2012, QQ successfully logged into the Windows App Store and was the first Win8 application in China.

In addition, QQ for Windows8 is based on the Metro UI QQ, the current Win8 developer / consumer preview version has both Metro UI and Desktop mode, Metro UI mode needs to download the Win8 version of QQ from the Store, Desktop mode can still be through the traditional Ways to download and use QQ2011 or QQ2012.
