The technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) industry is constantly evolving, and revolutionary changes are constantly contributing to new business models and disrupting existing industries. The rate of change will not slow down in the next few years, and new developments will fundamentally reshape the market, businesses and daily life.

Key analysts at IHS iSuppli and Screen Digest recently discussed their predictions of several major trends affecting the TMT industry in the coming years. This article summarizes the views of all parties.

Internet promotes advertising business

According to IHS Screen Digest Research, the Internet will become the second largest advertising medium after TV in 2012, accounting for 21% of global advertising revenue, once again showing the increasing influence of the Internet. The main factors driving this change are the improvement of keyword search advertising algorithms and the proliferation of online video and behavioral targeted advertising. Time frame: 12 months.

Smart phone

Steve Mather, senior chief analyst at IHS, believes that global mobile phone sales will reach 1.7 billion units in 2015, of which 1 billion will be smartphones. This means that 14% of the population of more than 7 billion in 2015 will buy smartphones, as shown in Figure 3. This scale is very alarming, and the global technology supply chain has adjusted its direction one after another, leaving the computer industry and investing in the smartphone market. Time frame: three years.

The user interface shines

The user interface has made great progress in recent years, from voice-controlled TVs to touch-screen smartphones and tablets. But according to Dale Ford, director of electronics and semiconductor research at IHS, the technology industry is only just starting to improve human-machine interaction. Future user interfaces will increasingly use multiple technologies to achieve more natural interactions, including sensors, touch screens, cameras, and application processors.

What will the future of the user interface revolution look like? Ford mentioned Microsoft's Touch Wall technology, which can turn every wall in the room into a touch display. The system will allow users to interact with the display through natural tactile input and may provide a virtual entertainment experience similar to the holographic deck in the TV series "Star Trek: The Next GeneraTIon". Time frame: eight years.

OLED grows fast

According to Joe Abelson, senior director of IHS, the future of AMOLED display technology is limitless. AMOLED will first replace LCD in the field of small displays. After overcoming cost and production problems in the next few years, it will replace LCD in the field of larger displays. Because it can be printed on a very thin plastic substrate in the future, AMOLED will make it possible to apply an almost unlimited number of new display applications, including rollable, foldable, wearable, adhesive, postcards, business cards, refrigerator doors, and dynamic Street signs can even be made into the aforementioned touch walls. Time frame: eight to 10 years.

Everyone enjoys 3D

Belson predicted that although the current situation is not too good, 3D video will eventually be widely adopted, but will not use any current technology. In order to achieve such great success, 3D TVs must take off their glasses, and almost all people do not like to wear special glasses when watching TV. Initially, 3D TVs will be replaced by auto-stereoscopic displays, flat-screen 3D displays without glasses, and then replaced by projected holographic videos that are reportedly developed by manufacturers such as Apple. Actors, football players and monster trucks will appear to be in the room, around you, not only at home, but also in shopping malls, train stations and university lecture halls. Time frame: 12 to 15 years.

Educational demo

Abelson also predicted that technology will bring huge changes to education. Electronic textbooks will replace printed books. These textbooks can be read not only on consumer tablet PCs, but also on sturdy, cheap special equipment. The classroom will become a virtual classroom, the course is pre-recorded, or can be played from anywhere, and students can interact with teachers and classmates at any location in the world. Time frame: five to 25 years.

The main circuit of the equipment is the full bridge controlled circuit and the trigger circuit is the programmable integrated circuit. The phase-shifting, fixed width and modulation of the pulse are all digitized, and it does not need any adjustment for the section of the trigger. It has the features of high reliability, high pulse symmetry, strong anti-interference ability, quick reaction, as well as the advantages of no heat-generating, constant current, energy-saving which is compared with the discharge with the electrical resistance.
